The Atlantic Shark's Eye is found from Massachusetts to Texas and this example was found by my wife Coleman on Atlantic Beach, NC. It was a particularly large specimen in wonderful condition with rich color. For some reason I have always liked snail shells and keep my eye peeled for them when walking down the beach. The bird is one of my favorite coastal birds, a Greater Yellowlegs which is often found on our North Carolina Coast.
