This painting appeared
in Woodenboat Magazine in an article I suggested about recording the lines
of Maine lobsterboats. My thought was that someone should do it as Howard
Chappel did it for early American sailing craft for the Smithsonian. But
we don't seem to have the equivalent of a Howard Chappell and these beautiful
boats remain unrecorded.
